Fundraisers and Mi Casa Cares

Fiesta Fundraisers at Mi Casa

Pick a day, bring your non-profit group to East 17th Street, and Mi Casa donates 20% of the proceeds.

One designated day, 20% of the proceeds

A Fiesta Fundraiser is a day Mi Casa designates for a non-profit group, and 20% of the proceeds are donated to that group. It turns a regular day of dinners and margaritas in Costa Mesa into a gift for the cause.

To start one, email info@micasa1.com. The restaurant arranges fundraisers by email, the same way it handles every donation request.

A donation request is a different path

Asking for a donation is separate from holding a fundraiser day. Requests come in by email only, on the organization's official letterhead, and Mi Casa considers eligible non-profits with proof of IRS 501(c) status.

Send the request at least four weeks prior to the date it is for, with a contact name, email and phone number. Phone calls and drop-ins are not part of the process.

Mi Casa Cares, since 2008

Mi Casa Cares is the restaurant's annual charity event, and it began in 2008 with Wounded Warriors Project. Later years added Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Toys for Tots, and local high schools and youth sports.

The causes are listed in the band below, and the restaurant's own history, including the year Mi Casa Cares began, is on the Our Story page.
